Report: Celtic to be rivalled by Stoke in chase for John Guidetti

Celtic target John Guidetti has reportedly been offered to Stoke City by Manchester City.

Stoke City have been offered the chance to sign John Guidetti from Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.

City are keen to cash in on Guidetti this summer and they are now trying to drum up interest by touting him about to potential suitors.

The Swedish front man has previously been on a loan spell with Stoke and, therefore, the Potters know all about his talents.

Whether they will make a move remains to be seen, though, leaving the 23-year-old's future very uncertain.

Guidetti has been on loan with Celtic all season and the Daily Mail have suggested that Ronny Deila's men will make a move for him in the coming months.

Guidetti started the campaign in blistering form, but his goalscoring touch seemed to desert him as the season progressed and he was not able to maintain his early standards.

However, Deila has apparently seen enough to suggest he would be a good signing and City do not appear to be planning to stand in his way, should Celtic make an acceptable offer for the striker.
