Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Iago Aspas's summer exit

One of Liverpool's players has confirmed he will leave the club permanently this summer, so what do Reds fans think about it?

In comments published by ESPN, Liverpool striker Iago Aspas revealed that he will be leaving Anfield permanently this summer for an alleged fee in the region of €7million.

The 27-year-old has been on loan at Sevilla this season, scoring 10 goals in 24 appearances to date, but despite that decent form it seems there will be no second chance back on Merseyside.

“The transfer (fee) is to be paid this summer,” Aspas said. “I am very happy at Sevilla, they received me with open arms and I hope to keep paying them back for many years.”

Aspas signed for Liverpool from Celtia Vigo in 2013, but in his debut campaign he scored just one goal in 15 appearances.

With Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli arriving last summer it was no surprise to see Aspas move on loan but it now seems Liverpool fans have seen the last of the Spaniard in a red shirt.
