Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft has played down the possibility of Manchester United signing Thomas Muller.
I think Man UTD course be very active in Getman market soon, but Müller won't happen. Himmels/Gündogan more likely https://t.co/tlJr6DgcSG— Jan Aage Fjortoft (@JanAageFjortoft) May 13, 2015
Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft suggested on Twitter that Manchester United will struggle to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Muller.
Gundogan is a steady central midfield player who would inject some real calm into the middle of United’s team, while Hummels is reportedly a £37 million target for the club, as reported by the Daily Star.
Hummels would be an interesting signing because he does have a lack of pace, but has an air of authority surrounding him and experience, which would be important to the organisation of the club’s backline.
United’s manager Louis van Gaal has already made a big statement of intent in the transfer market with an early agreement for Memphis Depay of PSV Eindhoven and he could secure two more high profile deals in the near future.
United have scrambled to a position in the top four and the right signings will hopefully have the team pushing on for promotion next year.
