Shearer warned that any abuse will be met with a swift visit from the ex-striker to their doorstep, with the gift of tickets to watch the Magpies in action.
The now BBC and beIN sports pundit has recently taken part in an advertising campaign where he hands out tickets to young Newcastle fans.
Now, though, even he recognises that it's far from the ideal time for such press.
