Swansea fans react on Twitter to Lukasz Fabianski's heroics at the Emirates

The Pole put in a wonderful performance against his old club Arsenal.

Swansea fans were in dreamland last night after a phenomenal defensive performance saw the Welsh side go to Arsenal on Monday night and leave with a 1-0 victory.

The Gunners have been one of the best teams in Europe in 2015, but they couldn't find a way past former goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, with the Pole making nine saves across the 90 minutes.

Swans striker Bafetimbi Gomis came off the bench to score the only goal, planting a late header over the line, though referee Kevin Friend needed the help of goal-line technology to make sure David Ospina hadn't kept it out.

The Colombian wasn't a match for the player he effectively replaced at Arsenal, with 30 year-old Fabianski rightly receiving plenty of praise on Twitter from exuberant Swans fans.

Garry Monk's side have now beaten both Arsenal and Manchester United, home and away, this season.

Below is a selection of some of the best tweets in praise of their goalkeeper:
