Steve Jobs' old business cards fetch thousands

Steve Jobs and Bill Gates

Three of Steve Jobs' old business cards were sold at auction earlier this month for more than $10,000.

Tim Knowles, CEO of start-up Stacks.co, purchased the cards for $10,500, according to a report by The Next Web. The collection of cards included ones from Jobs' time at Apple , Next and Pixar.

Interestingly, his company's app aims to make contact sharing easier without the use of business cards, according to the Stacks website.

In a statement to The Next Web, Knowles said "If there was ever a business card to have in your Rolodex-it would certainly be Steve's-we wouldn't be doing what we are doing right now if it wasn't for him!"
