Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverley could earn an England call-up for their games against Republic of Ireland and Slovenia next month, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
Cleverley has been in great form over recent months and Roy Hodgson reportedly wants to bring him back into the Three Lions' squad.
Hodgson is a known admirer of the midfielder, who is still contracted to Manchester United, and it looks like he may bring him back into contention for England next month.
Cleverley currently has 13 England caps and, if he wants to increase that total, he will have to jump ahead of his in-form Villa teammate Fabian Delph or Liverpool's Jordan Henderson in the pecking order.
Doing so could be tough, but Cleverley has been very bright recently and it is no surprise that he has caught the eye.
The 25-year-old has notched three goals in his last three fixtures and he appears to have regained his confidence, which he was so desperately lacking in during his last few months at United.
If Cleverley does come back into the England squad it will thrust him back into the spotlight again and it will be up to him to prove that he can handle the pressure that comes with it this time around.
