A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Liverpool Football Club this Tuesday morning.
The Reds will reportedly make a £15 million bid for Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic, who has also been linked with a move to Arsenal. The Croatia international would certainly fit in with the transfer policy of the club's owners Fenway Sports Group who have targeted bringing in younger players during their tenure.
The same paper has also linked Liverpool with a move for Manchester City's James Milner on a free transfer in the summer when his contract expires at the Etihad Stadium, with the Reds 'confident' of signing him on a £100,000 a week deal.
Goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is urging the Reds to give Gerrard a memorable send-off ahead of the Reds' skipper's final game at Anfield when they take on Crystal Palace this weekend.
Gerrard has shown flashes of his old self in the past couple of games by managing to get on the scoresheet against both Queens Park Rangers and Chelsea.
Belgian stopper Mignolet is quoted in the Liverpool Echo, saying: “We have the last home game of the season coming up against Palace and Steven’s last game at Anfield.
“We want to ensure he goes out with a win and we want to give the fans three points.
“Stevie has done in the past two games what he’s been doing here throughout his career – scoring very important goals at important moments."
The Mail also reports that he is looking for property in London, which inevitably leads them to link the winger with a move to either Arsenal or Chelsea.
