Tottenham evening round-up: Bentaleb demands side bounce back, report says Lloris to stay

A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Monday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has demanded a response after the side's 3-0 defeat to Stoke City when they take on Hull City next weekend, in an interview with the club's website.

The result means their chances of reaching the Champions League are officially over as they are now without a win in three games.

Bentaleb said: “We really wanted to bounce back at Stoke after losing to Manchester City but unfortunately we didn’t show up, and that’s the truth.

“It was a really bad day for us.

“We kept fighting when we had 10 men but it wasn't enough."

Hugo Lloris will not be leaving Tottenham in the summer, according to a report from TalkSPORT.

Lloris's future has been the subject of much speculation, with a move to a club in the Champions League said to be on the cards, and Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain among the clubs linked by the likes of the Daily Star with the French international who has impressed during his time in the Premier League.

Mauricio Pochettino reportedly wants Lloris to captain the side next season, having done so for much of this term.

Finally, Tottenham forward Harry Kane has been shortlisted for the supporters' Player of the Year award, according to the London Evening Standard.

Kane has already picked up the accolade of the Players' Young Player of the Year award.
