Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan,
According to Belgian newspaper HLN, Tottenham have joined the race to sign Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan this summer - but are struggling to afford him.
Spurs have tailed off in recent weeks, winning just one of their last six games to end their pursuit of a Champions League place for next season.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino will now be looking to strengthen his squad in this summer's transfer window, and central midfield may be an area of concern given that Moussa Dembele, Paulinho and Etienne Capoue have made little impact this term.
Now, this image of the HLN newspaper today shows that Tottenham are vying with Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Belgian international midfielder Nainggolan.
The 27-year-old, who has ten caps for Belgium, is currently co-owned by Cagliari and Roma, but his impressive performances in Serie A have triggered interest from PSG, Juventus, and now Tottenham.
An athletic, hard working midfielder, Nainggolan would fit well alongside Nabil Bentaleb in the Tottenham midfield - but HLN believe Daniel Levy is struggling to finance a deal to sign Nainggolan.
They report that between Cagliari and Roma, the fee would end up being €40m (£28.5m), which is seemingly too rich for Tottenham's blood at this time.
That could leave Paris Saint-Germain in the driving seat to sign Nainggolan - unless Spurs can somehow raise funds to make a bid this summer.
