Baptistao is reportedly wanted by Aston Villa, but now Dortmund have shown an interest in him.
The 22-year-old Brazilian-Italian forward has netted seven goals in 23 La Liga games this term, and his impressive performances at such a young age have seen Villa scouting him ahead of a potential summer move.
He is currently out injured, and is not expected to return before the end of the campaign, and will be returning to Atletico with no confirmations to his future at the club.
Diego Simeone’s men do not need another forward, but Baptistao has proven this term that he can find the back of the net regularly in La Liga, and Atletico are not pushed to sell him.
This interest had increased the difficulty in Villa making a formal offer for Baptistao, and now it has been reported by TMW that another club have come in for him - European giants Borussia Dortmund.
Thomas Tuchel is keen on bringing the hotshot forward to the Westfalenstadion as he begins his management reign this summer, although Dortmund have no European football to entice him.
Villa will have to fight off competition from the German giants for the young striker, and as yet there have been no indications from the player that he wants to leave Spain, or from Atletico confirming any desire to sell their talented youngster.
