Royal Bank of Canada has hired Francis Jackson from JPMorgan to oversee client coverage for asset managers, pensions and sovereign wealth.

Bloomberg News reports that Jackson is based in London and will help develop client relationships for Royal Bank’s investor and treasury services unit, the lender said Monday in an e-mailed statement.

He started May 7 and assumes the role previously held by Antony Johnson, who became head of distribution for the bank’s international wealth-management business in March.

In the meantime, Reuters reports that Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking appointed Yann Garnier as deputy head of global markets and head of sales in the Asia Pacific region.

The firm also appointed Timothee Bousser to the newly created role of head of equities and derivatives for Asia Pacific. Herve Mercat will be the deputy head.
