Manchester City maintained their challenge for the second spot in the Premier League table with a 6-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at home on Sunday.
The Citizens headed into the encounter at the Etihad Stadium on the back of a 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane in North London.
City were huge favourites to win against QPR, and they did pick up all three points in style.
The star of the show for last season’s Premier League champions was Argentina international striker Sergio Aguero, who scored a hat-trickk.
The former Atletico Madrid star found the target in the fourth, 50th and 65th minute, while Aleksandar Kolarov, James Milner and David Silva scored the other three goals.
The win means that City are second in the Premier League standings at the moment with 73 points from 36 matches, three points ahead of Arsenal, who are currently third and have two games in hand.
Very happy about the win and the goals. Thanks to City's fans for their affection and my teammates for making this possible. C'mon, City!— Sergio Kun Aguero (@aguerosergiokun) May 10, 2015
