Liverpool and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday with Brendan Rodgers opting to give a top flight debut to teenage striker Jerome Sinclair.
The 18-year-old is a regular scorer at youth and under-21 level for the Reds and it was no surprise to see him come off the bench for the final 22 minutes.
With Liverpool’s senior strikers failing to deliver in the absence of the injured Daniel Sturridge, why not give youth a chance? And while he could not score the match-winner, Sinclair seems destined for a very bright future at Anfield.
Liverpool have a whole host of young players coming through the ranks and in some ways it was surprising that Sinclair got his chance ahead of another talented player in the form of Cameron Brannagan.
In time, both should be turning out regularly for the first-team but it is early days in both their careers.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool fans thought of Sinclair’s performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:

Rather see Jerome Sinclair ahead of Rickie Lambert now, league's over. May as well give the promising youth a go.— LFC Fans Corner (@LFCFansCorner) May 10, 2015
