One of Leeds United's most important players signed a new deal with the club this week but what did their fans think of the news?
Leeds United supporters finally had some great news to celebrate earlier today when it was announced that star midfielder Lewis Cook had signed a new two-year deal at Elland Road.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a wonderful campaign, making 38 appearances and becoming an integral part of manager Neil Redfearn’s side.
Leeds had an up-and-down campaign both on and off the pitch, but having finished the season 15th in the Championship, tying down one of their best players for another two seasons is great news.
There are plenty of other players Leeds fans will be hoping follow Cook’s lead, while Redfearn himself is yet to sign a new deal at the club. But whatever tomorrow brings, today is about celebrating the fact that one of the brightest young talents in England has committed his short-term future at the club where he made his name.
After the news we took to Twitter to see what Leeds fans thought and you can read a selection of what we found below:

Sorry to piss on the parade, but a two year contract for Lewis Cook is only to cover our backs so we can sell him for a higher price #LUFC— Aaron Malone (@Aaron_Malone29) May 11, 2015
