Houlihan Lokey has announced that Patrick Schoennagel has joined the firm as a Director in its Capital Markets Group.

He is based in London and will focus primarily on assisting both independent and sponsor-backed corporates in the United Kingdom and continental Europe to raise capital, in addition to working closely with the firm’s US-based Capital Markets team on cross-border financings.

Schoennagel joins after nearly a decade at GE Capital, where he served in a number of roles, most recently as a Senior Vice President in its Corporate Finance Group. He has extensive experience in asset-based, leveraged loan and restructuring finance origination and credit underwriting for middle-market and large-cap corporates in an array of different industries.

'Patrick possesses a comprehensive skill set that encompasses credit, structuring, and loan origination for a wide variety of clients', said Ken Goldsbrough, a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s European Capital Markets Group. 'As we continue to build out our capital markets business in Europe, his skill set and breadth of experience will be tremendously valuable to our clients', he continued.

'I’m excited to be joining Houlihan Lokey at this stage of growth of its Corporate Finance franchise in Europe', said Schoennagel. 'I look forward to further building on the momentum the firm has achieved to date in developing a robust Capital Markets Group and serving clients on both sides of the Atlantic', he added.

Schoennagel holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University.
