Former Tottenham Hotspur forward Garth Crooks has been singing the praises of Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish on BBC Sport.
Grealish has been in superb form in recent weeks and has deservedly got chances under new manager Tim Sherwood.
The 19-year-old Republic of Ireland Under-21 international was in action for Villa against West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday, and once again he gave a good account of himself.
Grealish took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 93%, created two chances, put in four chances, attempted one dribble, and made one interception and two blocks.
Former Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion forward Crooks was impressed with the teenager’s display in the 1-0 win and included him in his BBC Sport Team of the Week.
“The kid was fabulous against West Ham and demonstrated so many elements of the game that excite fans,” the 57-year-old wrote on BBC Sport.
“The vision he showed for Gabriel Agbonlahor's chance late in the game was nothing short of Charlton-esque.”
Grealish has been one of the best and most productive players for Villa in recent weeks, as the Villans push on for Premier League survival.
The youngster has created 16 chances in 15 league matches, while having a pass accuracy of 92% and a shot accuracy of 71%.
Villa are currently 14th in the Premier League table with 38 points from 36 matches, four points above the relegation zone.
