Thierry Henry has described Santi Cazorla as “Arsenal’s David Silva” in The Sun.
Spain international midfielder Cazorla is one of the best players in the world and has been in brilliant form this season.
In 33 Premier League appearances this campaign, the 30-year-old has scored seven goals and created 71 chances, while having a pass accuracy of 88% and a shot accuracy of 53%.
Cazorla, who is essentially an attacking midfielder, has often been deployed in central midfield, and he has still done well.
Former Arsenal striker Henry has been impressed with the former Malaga star and wrote in The Sun: “Santi Cazorla has once again been a real star.
"That guy does not get the credit he deserves and works incredibly hard. He is Arsenal’s David Silva. He may not score as many goals but he is now helping out in a different midfield role.”
David Silva of Manchester City is another Spain international attacking midfielder who has been truly superb this season.
The Citizens have struggled this season, but Silva remains one of their best players who has proved to be key in many games.
The 29-year-old has scored 11 goals and created 82 chances in 29 Premier League appearances this campaign, while having a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 59%.
