A player said to be interesting Tottenham Hotspur continued his fine goal-scoring form this weekend.
While Tottenham Hotspur were suffering a 3-0 defeat away to Stoke City, a player strongly linked with them in recent weeks was continuing his fine goal-scoring form.
According to the Daily Mail among others, Tottenham are interested in bringing Borussia Monchengladbach striker Max Kruse to White Hart Lane this summer, with the 27-year-old said to have a £9million release-clause in his contract.
There is little doubt Tottenham need reinforcements up front, with Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado potentially moving on given their lack of game-time this season, and an overreliance on Harry Kane.
Whatever the future brings, Kruse continued to do what he does best this weekend, scoring the first goal in ‘Gladbach’s 3-0 Bundesliga victory against Bayer Leverkusen.
That made it 13 goals for the season for Kruse, and three in his last three appearances, but with his current side flying high and on course for the Champions League as a result, would he really consider a move to Tottenham at this stage in his career?
It remains to be seen, but Spurs certainly need more goals and Kruse knows how to get them.
