The Turkish international is being linked with a move to Serie A.
The Gunners had snapped him up in 2008 from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar and he went on to play just 27 minutes for The Gunners - both in League Cup ties against Shrewsbury Town and Bolton Wanderers at The Emirates.
With first team opportunities slim to none at Arsenal he left for Turkey and has now gone on to become a regular in Slaven Bilic's side - and now has seven caps for Turkey after impressing in the Super Lig.
It now seems as though the talented Turk has some big names tracking his progress, including Italian giants Inter Milan - according to reports.
It is claimed by Tutto Mercato Web that Inter are ready to snap up the player, for a fee in the region of €5 million.
It comes as Besiktas have just been punished for failing to meet Financial Fair Play regulations and are therefore considering player sales.
So three years after departing Arsenal it looks like this talented midfielder might just get his chance to shine in Italian football.
