Players from Leeds United's past took part in a Super 7s match this weekend.
Leeds United’s Championship season may be over but that did not stop their strip being worn by some familiar faces this weekend.
Harrogate ultimately ran out 3-2 winners but Carole’s participation was particularly timely given that the former Leeds winger had only just been speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post about his son’s place in the club’s academy.
Carole featured 41 times for Leeds between 2006 and 2008 while Poyet was the club’s assistant manager during Dennis Wise’s time at the club.
A lot has happened since then and Leeds’ current boss Neil Redfearn is now looking ahead to the next campaign; one in which the club will be hoping to push for promotion back top the top flight given the number of exciting young players at their disposal.
