MK Dons midfielder Dele Alli's move to Tottenham is drawing ever closer.
Milton Keynes Dons manager Karl Robinson has told MK Web that midfielder Dele Alli can't wait to join Tottenham this summer.
Robinson is in celebratory mode having seen his MK Dons side win promotion to the Championship last week, with a 5-1 win over Yeovil Town handed them second place in League One.
The driving force behind their success was, without question, midfielder Alli, who racked up an astonishing 16 goals from the middle of the park under Robinson.
The 19-year-old is one of the most highly rated teenagers in English football, and his future was secured in January when he penned a five-and-a-half year contract with Tottenham.
Spurs allowed him to rejoin MK Dons on loan for the remainder of the season, but now Alli is edging ever closer to finally joining Mauricio Pochettino's men.
Having seen the likes of Harry Kane, Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason thrive under the Argentine this season, Alli will surely be optimistic that he can follow suit next term - and his manager Robinson has told MK Web that Alli can't wait to make the move to White Hart Lane, whilst also adding that he would love to take the midfielder back on loan should Pochettino allow it.
"Dele wants to play for Tottenham and it's as simple as that," said Robinson. "It's a club he's really excited to go to and he wants to play for Spurs in the Premier League."
"If the manager (Mauricio Pochettino) decides otherwise then our door is open and I'll carry him back up the M1! He's been a wonderful servant to our club," he added.
Will Alli play a big part for Tottenham next season?
