Adam is clearly a big fan of Gus Poyet's playing career.
Charlie Adam has recently found himself in a bit of form. The Scot has been scoring goals galore in recent weeks. He has scored four goals in his last six games for Stoke City, including a header against Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
He netted in a 3-0 win against Tottenham yesterday, as Spurs' season fritters away.
Today however he was full of praise for a former Tottenham player and assistant - Gus Poyet.
He posted this message on Twitter earlier, highlighting his respect for the former Sunderland manager.
What a player Gus poyet was watching his goals on @GoalsOnSunday— Charlie Adam (@Charlie26Adam) May 10, 2015
Poyet is of course currently without a club. The Uruguayan was most recently in charge of Sunderland, but was let go after a string of poor results left The Black Cats fighting relegation from the Premier League.
Adam, who has recently been linked with another of Poyet's former clubs in Leeds, was clearly impressed by what he saw from Poyet. He himself has also scored plenty of special goals in his career and is surely not one to shirk appreciation for a wondergoal.
Poyet certainly scored a few of those in his time. Now however, he will be hoping to get back into management as soon as possible.
