Jonathan Barnett has stated that the Welshman does not receive the ball enough for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
Gareth Bale has become something of a scapegoat for Real Madrid’s dip in form in the second half of the season, with the former Tottenham man not showing what he is capable of in 2015.
The Wales international was specifically poor in the Spanish capital city side’s 2-1 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League last week and copped a lot of criticism in the media as a result.
However, Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett has stated that the world’s most expensive player’s team-mates are to blame for the winger’s poor form as they do not pass him the ball often enough.
“Real have to work with Gareth and pass the ball to him more,” the agent told The Telegraph.
“Give him more of the ball and let him show everybody what he’s good at. He’s going to be the best player at Real Madrid when his team-mates work with him and help him. Hopefully Real will come to terms with this.
“I’m very upset that professional pundits don’t realise these facts. Instead of criticising, they should look at it more closely because it’s plain to see when you watch the games.”
Bale’s relationship with Ballon d’Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo has appeared strained at times this season, with the Portugal international appearing frustrated by the Welshman’s decisions on the pitch at times.
The former Spurs hero was part of the Madrid team that drew 2-2 with Valencia on Saturday, with the dropped points leaving Ancelotti and his men four points adrift of Barcelona with only two games of the La Liga season remaining.
Madrid face Juve in their Champions League semi-final second leg at home in midweek.
