Chelsea fans react on Twitter to Ruben Loftus-Cheek performance v Liverpool

The talented midfielder made his full debut for Chelsea yesterday afternoon.

Chelsea took on Liverpool yesterday afternoon in a game the Merseysiders needed to win in order to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for the Champions League alive.

In the end the two drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge, a result which did not help their cause and it now looks like Manchester United are clear to make it to the qualifying stages next season.

For Chelsea, it was inconsequential. They have already won the Premier League and that means they can bring in a few fringe players to make some appearances and gain valuable first-team experience.

One of them players is Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The player, once dubbed 'like Socrates' by former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson, has been on the cusp of the first-team for a while now and this was his first start for the club.

He put in an assured performance in the heart of midfield for The Blues, with fans clearly impressed by his performance.

Most young players at Chelsea end up having to go out on loan to play regular first-team football, but it looks as though Loftus-Cheek might actually get a chance in the Chelsea first-team going forward.

Here is some of the best Twitter reaction to his full debut yesterday afternoon...
