Barcelona winger Pedro netted a stunning late bicycle kick only minutes after his introduction to help the Catalans record a hard-fought 2-0 win over Real Sociedad.
The 27-year-old star has struggled for game time this season, starting just 13 La Liga matches as he has to contend with playing second fiddle to Neymar, Luis Suarez and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
The Gunners in particular are said to be long-term admirers, and owing to Alexis Sanchez’s success in North London, there could be reason for Pedro to want to follow suit.
Despite the confusion surrounding his future, Pedro has not allowed his focus to be distracted as he continues to play a role in the club’s ambitions of securing a memorable treble.
The La Liga title race is still very much open and Barca know they cannot afford to slip up as even a draw would allow Real Madrid to capitalise and overtake them with a win.
During Saturday’s clash with David Moyes’ Real Sociedad, the game was finely poised at 1-0 before Pedro finished Lionel Messi’s deflected cross with aplomb to secure the hosts the three points.
The Spanish international came through the Barca youth ranks and has totalled more than 300 appearances for the club in all competitions, but this season could be his last in La Liga.
