Tottenham Hotspur and Everton fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Aaron Lennon against Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.
Lennon joined Merseyside outfit Everton on loan from Premier League rivals Tottenham in the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has been a reinvigorated figure at Goodison Park and has been an important player for the Toffees in their recent run of positive results.
On Saturday, Lennon played what could be his penultimate game for Everton at the Goodison, as he is due to return to Spurs when his loan spell runs out at the end of the season.
Many would have expected the former Leeds United winger to guide Roberto Martinez’s side to victory over relegation-threatened Sunderland at home, but the England international had a rather mixed game.
During the 86 minutes that Lennon was on the pitch, he failed to have any attempt on goal, had a pass accuracy of 88%, created four chances, put in two crosses, attempted one dribble, won 25% of the tackles he made, and made one block.
Following the match which ended in a 2-0 win for Sunderland, Tottenham and Everton fans took to Twitter to have their say on the performance of Lennon.

Can't understand why Everton pay Lennon 50k a week, could play any number of their young players there with the same effect— Calum Plews (@Calum_Moo) May 9, 2015
Aaron Lennon is abysmal. Why Everton are debating signing him I don't know. 5 years past it— Nick Harris (@thenickharris) May 9, 2015
