Stoke City hammered Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at the Britannia Stadium today.

Tottenham have now won just one of their last six games after a heavy 3-0 defeat to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.

Spurs travelled to face the Potters having lost 1-0 to Manchester City last weekend, and were hoping to get back to winning ways against Mark Hughes' men.

However, Spurs were subjected to a nightmare afternoon, as Stoke ran riot to clinch a 3-0 win over Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Charlie Adam opened the scoring for Stoke in the 21st minute, and Steven N'Zonzi made it 2-0 just over ten minutes later, giving  Stoke a convincing lead at half time.

Romanian defender Vlad Chiriches was then sent off for Tottenham in the second half, compounding Spurs' misery before Mame Biram Diouf made it 3-0 late on.

It was a disappointing afternoon for Spurs, who mustered only three shots on target in the 90 minutes, consigning them to a second straight defeat.

For Stoke, the win put them back up into ninth place in the Premier League table, and also helped them reach 50 points for the first time in their Premier League history.
