Report: Tottenham price Hugo Lloris at £30m; Levy wants Petr Cech if the Frenchman leaves

Could Tottenham Hotspur wave goodbye to their current goalkeeper and replace him with Chelsea's number two?

According to a report in the Sunday People, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has put a £30million price-tag on Hugo Lloris’s head in a bid to ward off alleged suitors Manchester United.

Until David de Gea signs a new deal at Old Trafford, questions will remain regarding the Spaniard’s future, so it is no surprise a player like Lloris is being linked with Louis van Gaal’s side.

But unsurprisingly Tottenham will not want to do business unless it is on their terms, and the report claims that if De Gea does leave and United do offer the full amount for Lloris, Spurs will move for Chelsea’s Petr Cech as his replacement.

The latter has barely featured under Jose Mourinho this season and looks almost certain to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.

He certainly has the experience but it already seems like a case of the transfer merry-go-round getting into full swing weeks before anything can even happen.

With a contract until the summer of 2019 and as one of Tottenham’s most important players, it would be a huge surprise if Lloris did leave, but stranger things have happened in the game.
