Middlesbrough fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Patrick Bamford against Brentford on Friday.

Bamford has been on loan at Middlesbrough from Premier League outfit Chelsea since the start of the season, and has been an important player for the Championship side.

The 21-year-old forward started Friday’s Championship playoff semi-final first-leg clash against Brentford away from home and played until the final minutes of the encounter.

During his time on the pitch, the former Nottingham Forest youngster took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 76%, created one chance, put in three crosses, attempted one dribble and made two blocks.

It was not one of the best performances from Bamford, but he was still influential in Middlesbrough’s 2-1 victory over Brentford at Griffin Park.

Following Boro’s win, the club’s fans took to Twitter to have their say on the display of Bamford.
