The West Ham chairman has faith in his teenage defender.
The Belgian is perhaps one of the most in-form strikers in Europe at the moment. He has scored 12 goals in his last 12 games, including a double the last time he played against Everton last weekend.
His form has seen Aston Villa pull away from the Premier League relegation zone, and make it to the FA Cup final.
Today, the job falls to West Ham's defensive pairing of James Collins and Reece Burke.
For Burke in particular, it is going to be a real test.
The 18-year-old only made his Premier League debut in April, in a 0-0 draw with QPR, and has played just two Premier League games.
Now he has been given the backing of his chairman. David Gold Tweeted earlier today that he was on his way to the game, and backed the teenager to have a great game this afternoon:
I'm on the M40 with 55 miles to go. A real test for young Reece Burke today against the in form Benteke. Good luck Reece. dg— David Gold (@davidgold) May 9, 2015
The teenager has however never conceded a goal in a Premier League game, so will hope to keep that record this afternoon.
