Rangers will be looking to take an advantage in the first leg of the Scottish Premiership quarter-final playoff tie against Queen of the South away from home this evening.
The Gers will head into the encounter at Palmerston Park in Dumfries knowing that a draw would be a good result to take into the second leg at Ibrox in Glasgow.
Stuart McCall’s side have lost on their last two visits to Dumfries, but they will be determined to register a win today.
However, it will not be easy for Rangers to win against a strong Queens side who have Premiership promotion ambitions of their own.
James Fowler’s team will head into this evening’s match on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Livingston in their final game of the season, having gone into the encounter knowing that they were already guaranteed a fourth-place finish in the Scottish Championship.
This is the second year in a row that the Doonhamers have reached the playoffs - they were knocked out by Falkirk at this stage last season.
It promises to be an interesting match at Palmerston Park, and this is how Queens and Rangers will line up:
Queen of the South XI: Clark, Holt, Dowie, Durnan, Higgins, Reilly, Kidd, McKenna, Carmichael, McShane, Lyle
Subs: Millar, Russell, Paton, Atkinson, Hooper, Smith, Pickard
