Newcastle United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League today, when they take on West Bromwich Albion at home.

The Magpies will head into the clash at St. James’ Park on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium.

It was Newcastle’s eighth defeat in a row in the Premier League and pushed them closer to the relegation zone.

Heading into this weekend’s round of matches, John Carver’s side find themselves 15th in the league table with 35 points from as many matches, just two points ahead of third from bottom Sunderland, who have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, West Brom are currently 13th in the league standings with 40 points from 35 matches and are virtually safe from relegation.

The Baggies will head into this afternoon’s match against Newcastle on the back of a 1-0 victory over Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford.
