Aston Villa will be looking to pick up all three points against West Ham United at home this afternoon, and increase the gap between themselves and the Premier League relegation zone.
Villa will head into the encounter at Villa Park on the back of a 3-2 victory over Merseyside outfit Everton at Villa Park.
Tim Sherwood’s side currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League table with 35 points from as many matches, just two points above third from bottom Sunderland, who have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, West Ham are ninth in the league standings at the moment with 47 points from 35 games and look set for top-10 finish this season.
Sam Allardyce’s side will head into today’s match on the back of a narrow 1-0 win against relegation-threatened Burnley at Boleyn Ground.
It is five months since West Ham last won two Premier League matches in a row, while Villa are aiming to win successive home games in the league for the first time in 14 months.
