A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Daily Mail has reported that Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up their interest in striker Max Kruse and defender Kevin Wimmer.
The paper mentions both as key targets for the White Hart Lane club, as manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to revitalise his squad over the summer.
Kruse currently plays for Borussia Monchengladbach while Wimmer plays for FC Koln.
The Daily Express has reported that Tottenham have no intention of selling goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
The paper mentions the Frenchman as a subject of interest for the club’s Premier League rivals Manchester United.
However, Spurs don’t appear to be willing to let him leave and move to any side after this summer.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted by the Daily Mirror suggesting there are several reasons things haven’t worked out for forward Roberto Soldado.
The former Valencia man struggled to keep up as Harry Kane set the standard up front for Spurs earlier in the season.
However, the boss can’t single out a specific reason to suggest why Soldado has been unable to produce his best form.
“There are many reasons [why it has not worked out for him] and not only the culture. Always you have to be lucky and to arrive at the new club and develop your game. There is no one reason,” he said.
