Report: Derby County working on two summer transfer deals

Derby County are reportedly planning deals to sign two players who were on loan with them last season.

The Daily Mail has reported that Derby County are looking to move on securing two summer transfer deals.

The paper suggests that the Rams will offer a fee in the region of £3 million to sign Tom Ince and will put a deal to Darren Bent, with both players having spent time on loan at the club last season.

Ince’s future will most likely depend on what happens with regards to Hull’s Premier League status.

If the Tigers stay up, it’s going to be more difficult for Derby to do a deal because Ince will have that desire to play in the top flight.

However, if they drop down, it could be a no brainer for the midfielder considering the impact he had with the Rams last season.

With regards to Bent, the paper confirms that he’s out of contract at parent club Aston Villa this summer.

Villa are yet to put the offer of a new contract to him and Derby are well within their rights to offer him a competitive deal, though there are likely to be other teams in the running to sign him.
