Like a James Bond theme tune, he's 'the boss,' the man with all the power: the man who's turned everything around at Aston Villa.
Yes, in a short tweet that included a photo of him smiling with 'boss' TIm Sherwood, prolific striker Christian Benteke has summed up everything that's going right at Villa at present.
The atmosphere has changed completely and so have the formbooks. And just one more result could more or less secure Aston Villa's Premier League status for next season (although, just two points clear of the relegation zone, the Villans must remain cautious).
Reason A is standing on the left of the above picture. Sherwood, the gaffer. And reason B stands right next to him.
|Team||Goals||Headers Won||Appearances||Minutes Played|
|Christian Benteke||Aston Villa||10||98||10||878|
|Sergio Agüero||Man City||6||2||10||856|
|Glenn Murray||C. Palace||6||39||9||597|
Indeed, as Opta stats show, no one has scored more Premier League goals than Benteke since Sherwood took over at Aston Villa.
And the Belgian forward's tally of headers won in that time is also remarkable - with the 24-year-old averaging almost 10 a game!
Next up for Villa is a home clash against West Ham United at 3pm on Saturday afternoon. Against the out-of-form Hammers, Aston Villa's dream Benteke-Sherwood team have the perfect opportunity to gain an important three points...
