The pair, along with Martin Keown, were all England internationals at the time.

Yesterday saw the news breaking that former Arsenal defender Tony Adams would be making a move for the ownership of Aston Villa.

It was reported by Sky Sports that Adams, along with former Chelsea executive Paul Smith, was attempting to take over from Randy Lerner with a £150 million bid.

Aston Villa have been up for sale since last year, with the American tycoon clearly hopeful of a sale in the near future.

Of course Adams also knows Aston Villa's current boss Tim Sherwood. The pair were brief England team-mates and played throughout the same era.

In fact, the two once posed for a picture which is now coming back to haunt them.

It shows Sherwood, complete with blonde highlights, and Adams, complete with sleeveless tee, along with former Arsenal man Martin Keown - himself a fashion disaster.

The trio look like a bad boyband from the '90s, called something like 'Stealth' or 'Feeling'.

The pictures came back to haunt them in February, when Paddy Power Tweeted it. It was a Burton fashion shoot from 1999 - when all three were members of the England national team.

Villa fans, and all football fans, will now hope for a repeat, sans Keown, in the near future.
