Obbi Oulare has played down the chances of a transfer, despite interest from Everton and Manchester United.

Speaking to HLN, Obbi Oulare has admitted he will hold off deciding on his future until the end for the league season with Club Brugge.

The young forward said: “It flatters my ego, but for now I am focusing on the title race with Club.”

It is certainly a level headed response, and his attitude suggests that he is the type of player who will be a success regardless of where his future lies.

Linked with Everton, Sunderland and Manchester United - as per the Sunderland Echo - Oulare’s reputation has been rising at an incredible rate this season after his seven goals in 28 games have seen Brugge win the Belgian Cup - and lead the league heading into the final weeks of the season.

At the age of just 19, the physical forward has started to truly establish himself as a key part of Brugge’s system, and has been winning international recognition with his first call-up to the Belgian Under-21 side in March this year.

His impressive performances have seen the interest from England, but it is good to see a young player focus upon his immediate career, rather than forcing a move away, when a club such as United enter the race for him.

He looks focused on his own development, and if he continues to play at the level at which he is now performing, there is no doubt he will soon be playing at the upper echelons of European football.

A transfer may occur this summer, but, as of now, Oulare is still not thinking about a move away, regardless of the clubs interested in his services.
