Tottenham Hotspur-owned Dele Alli has taken to social networking site Twitter to bid a fond farewell to Milton Keynes Dons.
Alli joined Premier League outfit Tottenham from the Dons in the January transfer window, but he was allowed to remain at Stadium mk for the remainder of the 2014-15 campaign on loan.
The 19-year-old midfielder continued to play well, and made sure that Karl Robinson’s side finish second in League One and get automatic promotion to the Championship.
The talented teenager has now taken to Twitter to express his gratitude towards MK Dons.
Thanks to all the fans there today! Can't thank the players staff and fans enough for what they've done for me. Loved every minute of 1/2— dele alli (@dele_alli36) May 8, 2015
Part of such a great team, thankfully my journey ended with what we all wanted pic.twitter.com/DG6uGEvZum— dele alli (@dele_alli36) May 8, 2015
Alli is one of the most promising young players in England, and it will be interesting to see whether he is able to break into the Tottenham first team next season.
The England Under-19 international midfielder will face a fierce competition, and one suspects that he will not get to play regular football at White Hart Lane in the 2015-16 campaign.
