David Gold responds to a question about West Ham United youngster Elliot Lee

West Ham United will take on Aston Villa away from home in the Premier League on Saturday.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Elliot Lee could feature against Aston Villa on Saturday.

The 20-year-old striker has made just one appearance in the Premier League for the Hammers, and that was way back in August 2013.

The youngster has yet to feature in the league for West Ham this season, but Gold has suggested that he could get some minutes against Villa at Villa Park on Saturday.

While Gold has not explicitly stated that Lee will play, the fact that the youngster is in the West Ham squad is an indication that he could feature against the Villans.

West Ham have virtually nothing to play for between now and the end of the season, although finishing as high as possible in the Premier League table will be important financially.

While manager Sam Allardyce will want his side to win all of their final three games, giving a chance to a talented young player like Lee is only going to help the club in the long run.
