One of Liverpool's most exciting young talents has been speaking about the future.
The 18-year-old is an extremely gifted young player who gave a tantalising glimpse of the future when he starred for a Liverpool all-star side in a recent charity match at Anfield.
Despite being on the field with some of the biggest names in Europe, Brannagan imposed himself on the game and manager Brendan Rodgers will surely have taking notice.
An attacking midfielder who is also comfortable on either wing, Brannagan is yet to make his senior debut for the club, but that is something he hopes will happen in due course.
“It hasn’t happened yet but I know I’ve got to keep working hard in training and hopefully my chance will come,” Brannagan said.
Liverpool have never been afraid to give young players the chance when they are deemed ready and Brannagan is one of an exciting bunch that also includes Harry Wilson and Ryan Kent among others.
The simple fact is, the future looks very bright for both the player and his club, which looks set to benefit from the ongoing fine work at the academy.
Brannagan has been named on the senior substitute’s’ bench three times in the last month, so do not be surprised if he does taste first-team action before the campaign is through.
And when he does, Liverpool fans are in for a treat!
