Leeds United winger Alex Mowatt has been one of the stars of their season.
Alex Mowatt has told Leeds United's official website that he sees himself as an all-round midfielder.
Mowatt has been utilised in his more favoured central position and out wide this year, and the youngster insists that he doesn't mind where he plays.
The 20-year-old just wants to do what is best for the team and he feels that playing in a number of different positions has helped to improve his understanding of the game.
“I just want to be an all-round midfield player really,” he explained. “I’ve played in quite a few positions this year. Wherever, I get asked to play, I’m happy to play there. I want to be an all-round midfielder.”
Despite having to play in a number of positions, Mowatt has thrived in whatever role has been asked of him this season.
The midfielder recently won Leeds' Player of the Season award and looks to have the ability to push on and become one of the top graduates to have come through the club's famed academy system in some time.
Mowatt is blessed with skill, pace and excellent finishing ability, while his grounded attitude should also serve him well in the future.
The England youth international has already been linked with Hull City in the Daily Mirror and it seems that his future is destined to be spent at the top level, whether that is with Leeds or elsewhere.
