Though his long-term future at Chelsea may be in doubt, Gael Kakuta has really caught the eye in La Liga throughout the 2014-15 campaign, during his loan spell with Rayo Vallecano.
The recent encounter between Rayo and Sevilla, presented the Andaluz club with the ideal opportunity, with the report suggesting that discreet conversations were held with Kakuta's representatives, as they sounded out the possibilities of a summer swoop.
Sevilla sporting director, Monchi, is a keen admirer of the 23-year-old, but is also conscious that there's no shortage of interest elsewhere.
Other La Liga clubs have also expressed an interest, including Valencia, who are likewise challenging for a Champions League finish this season, whilst Monaco are also said to be monitoring Kakuta's situation.
Playing mainly on the left wing, but also having featured on the right, and as an attacking wing-back, Kakuta has contributed 5 goals and 7 assists, in his 34 La Liga appearances for Rayo Vallecano.
