Former Queens Park Rangers forward Rodney Marsh has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United head coach John Carver’s big statement today.
Earlier today, Carver said that he thinks that he is the best coach in the Premier League.
"I still think I'm the best coach in the Premier League,” BBC Sport quotes the Englishman as saying. "If I have the right tools I can do the job. I'm doing the job to the best of my ability."
It was quite strange - and brave - of Carver to make such a big comment, especially as Newcastle are just two points above the Premier League relegation zone at the moment.
Moreover, the Magpies have lost their last eight league matches and are currently in dire form.
Former Fulham and Manchester City forward Marsh was amused with Carver’s bold claim and made the following post on Twitter:
How bad would Newcastle be if they didn't have the best coach in the premier league.....— Rodney Marsh (@RodneyMarsh10) May 7, 2015
Former Middlesbrough and Sheffield United forward Jan Age Fjortoft, who now works as a Bundesliga expert, also made an amusing remark in response to Carver’s comment.

Newcastle will return to Premier League action on Saturday, when they take on West Bromwich Albion at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies will head into the encounter on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium.
