Report: West Brom want 19-year-old African goalkeeping talent Axel Kacou

The Saint-Etienne stopper is apparently interesting The Baggies.

West Bromwich Albion are being linked with a move for a talented young goalkeeper. The Baggies are believed to be interested in AS Saint-Etienne youngster Axel Kacou.

It is being reported by Foot Sur 7 that West Brom are keen on the player this summer.

He would certainly be one for the future. Kacou is just 19-years-old and has been with Les Verts since 2012.

He has also caught the eye on an international stage. He has been selected for the Ivory Coast senior squad on numerous occasions in recent times, although was not included for the recent African Nations Cup victory.

He is also a former French under-17 international, which is good news for West Brom. He currently holds a French passport so would not require a work permit if the Baggies made a move for the player.

West Brom currently have Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill as their number one and two stoppers at the club.

They also have young players such as Jack Rose coming through the ranks.

Kacou would therefore be facing a big battle to become number one at West Brom, but as a signing for the future he would certainly be worth a punt.
