Lovenkrands played with Nolan and Gutierrez at Newcastle, and he seems to rate them highly even now.
On Thursday, the 35-year-old former Denmark international midfielder made the following post on Instagram:
#TBT was lucky to have played with these 2 amazing guys! @nobbynol4 one of the best goals scoring midfielders in the game and true leader on the pitch @galgojonas one of the nicest and funniest guys I have played with, we just clicked on the pitch he assisted a lot of my goals at my time at #Nufc I loved playing with these 2
Nolan joined Newcastle from Bolton Wanderers in 2009 and played for the Magpies until 2011.
The 32-year-old attacking midfielder then moved to London outfit West Ham, for whom he has made over 100 league appearances.
Gutierrez switched to Newcastle from Spanish club Real Mallorca in 2008 and been at St. James’ Park since.
The Argentine midfielder has struggled with health issues in recent years, but he is now fit and is back playing for the Magpies’ first team.
West Ham are currently ninth in the Premier League table with 47 points from 35 matches and are aiming for a top-10 finish this season.
Meanwhile, heading into this weekend’s round of matches, Newcastle find themselves 15th in the league standings with 35 points from as many matches, just two points above third-from-bottom Sunderland, who have a game in hand.
