Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Pochettino will have final say on transfers

A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mirror has reported that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will be given full control over transfers this summer.

The paper states that any potential deals on the cards which can be completed by chairman Daniel Levy will be run by the manager first.

No player will be allowed to join the club without Pochettino’s explicit approval.

The Guardian has reported that Everton could be priced out of a deal to sign Aaron Lennon on a permanent basis.

The wide man is currently on loan from Tottenham and has made a positive impact at Goodison Park.

The paper states he has a current fee of around £9 million, which would make a long term deal difficult.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been quoted by ESPN exposing members within his own family.

Adebayor has explained that he’s been put under pressure by family members, who feel he should house each of them as well as paying them a monthly wage.

He remains on a very good contract at Tottenham despite falling down the pecking order at the club.

“If I am writing this, the main purpose is not to expose my family members. I just want other African families to learn from this. Thank you,” he said.
