Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane was not impressed with Gareth Bale's performance for Real Madrid against Juventus.
The Welshman made only 27 touches and was substituted off with five minutes to go.
He produced just one dribble and no shots on target, with no chances created either.
Roy Keane told ITV that quite simply he is not living up to expectations.
He said: "The reason he is at Real Madrid is to be brave. Every time he got it tonight he turned back.
"His teammates cant be happy with him, he took the easy option every time."
While Bale was playing in just his first game since returning from injury, more was expected from a player who caused Madrid to pay out a world record transfer fee two years ago.
His performances particularly in the second half of this season have been below his usual standard, and has no goals and just one assist in his last five appearances.
The winger appeared out of sorts and further questions over his future at Real Madrid will no doubt resurface.
Madrid lost the first leg of the Champions League semi-final clash 2-1, but all is clearly not lost for them. Bale too has a chance to make up for it at the Bernabeu, but another performance like this will have the crowd whistling for him, and not in a positive manner.
