Report: Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino does not want Dele Alli to leave on loan next season

Tottenham Hotspur signed Dele Alli from Milton Keynes Dons in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants Dele Alli to be part of the first team next season, according to The Sun.

The British tabloid claims that Charlton Athletic, Brentford and Fulham are all interested in signing Alli on loan for the 2015-16 campaign.

It has also been reported that Milton Keynes Dons manager Karl Robinson “was hoping to retain his services in the Championship next term”.

However, Pochettino wants to draft Alli into the first team, as - according to The Sun - the Argentine “believes the playmaker has the potential to play in the Premier League now”.

North London outfit Tottenham signed the 19-year-old midfielder from MK Dons in the January transfer, but loaned him out to them for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

The youngster maintained his brilliant form and helped the Dons clinch automatic promotion from League One to the Championship.

While Alli is only 19 years of age and is far from the finished article, he is only going to learn and grow by working with Tottenham boss Pochettino.

It will be tough for the youngster to break into the Spurs team next campaign, but a good pre-season could help him have at least stand a chance of doing so.

Making the step-up from League One to the Premier League is huge, but Alli has shown potential and ability to play at the highest level.
